The Upcoming Week

Hej venner!

I've been exhuasted and feeling sick this whole weekend - ikke godt! (not good!). Skindergade's fire alarm went off like crazy all day yesterday, the laundry machines were broken (heyyy dirty clothes elsker dig!), I was too lazy to cook , and I probably slept most of the day away. I guess I needed that more than I realized though - you don't necessarily notice how much a new environment drains a person. But I did get up around 4pm to get a cup of coffee at the 7-11 across the square... and I did update my blog... Anywho, last night was fun! I had enough energy to traipse to Radhudsplasen and watch the FcK vs. Portugal game on their big tv screen. I went with some of the boys in my apartment, and we all had a great time cheering and going crazy for Denmark. Chanting the Danish chants are so entertaining. Unfortunately though the electricity went out part way and we missed a good 30 min of the game.... we all ran to the nearest bar to keep up with the scoring. It was a tie. Bummer. But I can't imagine how CRAZY the city would have been if we didn't draw with Portugal.... and by the way, the Portugal fans are so sleezy. Ew.

Afterwards I came back to the apartment, cooked me some pasta at midnight (I was starving at this point), then had the worst sleep imaginable. This weekend has been such a drag. I still feel just awful this morning.... Maybe I'll go take a long shower, and walk outside for a bit... then come in and study. I really wanted to go to Louisiana this afternoon with some of my flatmates - it's a modern art museum. I just don't think I'm going to make it haha. And I need to go to Netto tomorrow and get groceries.... and I still haven't really gone shopping at Stroget..... so much to do!

So actually the point of this post was to tell you about my upcoming week. I've got classes as usual Monday and Tuesday... then on Wednesday we have an MPP meeting for our short study tour.... which is THIS Thurs-Sat! We are going to Århus and Aalborg in Western Denmark to study some different aspects of medicine.... I'm excited! It should be a lot of fun. I'll have to update you before I go with the schedule, so you can see everything we get to do. Don't worry, a lot of pictures will be taken... I'll never fail you on that one.

Well! The sun is shining! Better go catch some Vitamin D before it's too late!!

Skål,
Danielle
